John Flynn

John Flynn (1880–1951), born in Moliagul, Loddon, was a Presbyterian minister and the founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Australia. Joan Kirner

Joan Kirner (1938–2015) was an Australian politician and feminist activist. Born in Bendigo, within the boundaries of Loddon, she served as the first female Premier of Victoria from 1990 to 1992. Kirner was a strong advocate for women's rights, education, and environmental causes throughout her political career.

Yvonne Kenny

Yvonne Kenny (born 1950) is an internationally renowned soprano opera singer hailing from Emu Creek, near Bendigo, in Loddon. She has performed at various prestigious venues and has received numerous awards for her exceptional contribution to the music industry. Kenny is recognized for her diverse vocal abilities and her interpretations of various opera roles.

Peter Costello

Peter Costello (born 1957) is an Australian politician and former Treasurer of Australia. While not born in Loddon, Costello's association with the area comes from his representation as the Member for Higgins, which includes parts of Loddon, in the Australian Parliament from 1990 to 2009. Costello played a significant role in Australia's economic policies during his tenure as Treasurer.

Cathy Freeman

Cathy Freeman (born 1973) is an Australian former sprinter who specialized in the 400 meters event. Though not originally from Loddon, she has strong connections to the region through her Indigenous heritage. Freeman became a symbol of national pride when she won gold in the 400 meters at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, becoming the first Aboriginal person to win an individual Olympic gold medal for Australia.

Tom Carroll

Tom Carroll (born 1961) is an Australian professional surfer and former world champion.
